We have been monitoring for any cabin releases by P&O\, but this cruise is extremely popular.\n\n\nWith less than two weeks to go\, if a cabin becomes available or if one of our members is unable to attend at the last minute\, we will need to organize everything within a couple of hours.\n\n\nTherefore\, I am reaching out to update your interest in attending the cruise with us. This cruise is for you!! \nWe can find a “cabin buddy” (another member)  to share a cabin or you might already have another member in mind. We average over 100 like-minded Singles Over 40 and host “Private Events”. \nBoarding P&O Pacific Explorer for a 3-night cruise\, departing Melbourne at p.m.. Boarding 12pm to 5pm on Friday 24th January 2025  arriving back in Melbourne on Monday 27th January 7am 2025 \n\nNOTE: A lot of work has gone into putting together this cruise/package. This means when P&O change the price\, you WON”T be charged the new price. \nCloser to the date you will be required to pay the balance of the cruise\, you will receive an invoice and a deadline to pay the amount. \nYou can also arrange with our Travel Agent to pay off the cruise a little bit at a time. START SAVING!! \n  \nHow will I know who is a part of our group? \nWe will organise on the first night a meetup to hand out lanyards and VIP Steppin’ Out Cards. These will be worn around your neck and easy to identify. \nYou will also be invited to a private Mix N’ Mingle on the first night to meet everyone. \n  \nWhy is the price slightly higher than what I can pay online? \nWe charge a small fee to cover our Administration\, Promotion and private Host / Events. \n  \nI don’t know anyone to share a cabin with\, can I still come? \nYes\, for sure\, we will match you up with a same sex member. \n  \nAre there any other expenses? \nWe do highly recommend “Travel Insurance” although it’s an Australian Cruise they do not recognise Medicare onboard so charge significant amounts for any medical attention required. It’s well worth the small cost involved. Our friendly Travel Agent can assist. \nSome drinks are included\, others you will have to pay for as you go (alcoholic drinks) \nSome restaurants aren’t included in the package\, but most are and a very large selection of dining experiences and variety of cuisines \nShopping on board the cruise like gifts\, chemist etc. \n  \nCan I bring my kids? \nNo this is an event for Singles Over 40 \n  \nWhere do I board the P&O Pacific Explorer? \nMelbourne Cruise Terminal\, Station Pier\, Waterfront Place Port Melbourne \nDistance to/from City: 15km/20mins\nDistance to/from Airport: 17km/30mins \n  \nWhy is this the last P&O Cruise? \nP&O Cruises Australia has decided to cease operations after 92 years of service. As a result\, their three-ship fleet will be reduced to two\, with the remaining ships being absorbed into Carnival Cruise Line. The closure means the end of seasonal departures from Melbourne. Unfortunately\, there are no plans to reinstate departure ports in Melbourne\, as Carnival Cruise Line now sails primarily from Sydney and Brisbane. \nThis was a cheap awesome option for us to cruise from Melbourne\, adding flights to Sydney or Brisbane no longer makes this viable for our Company. Sorry to disappoint\, but get on our LAST CRUISE!. \n  \nDo I need to be Vaccinated against Covid-19 to Cruise? \nNo longer a requirement. \n  \nPublic Transport available? \nMeeting passengers \nAll passengers leave Station Pier via the Gatehouse and can be met in Waterfront Place. \nPier access \nTicketed passengers and authorised staff only are permitted on Station Pier on cruise ship days. \nCar drop off / pick up \nDropping off embarking passengers \nPrivate vehicles including commercial passenger vehicles and taxis can drop off embarking passengers and are allowed on to the pier. Please proceed in your vehicle to the Gatehouse entrance and have boarding passes / ticketing documents ready for the security guards to check before allowing access to the pier. \nPicking up disembarking passengers \n\nPassengers with private pick up arrangements must be picked up in the carpark at the entrance to Station Pier.Drivers picking up passengers must wait in the carpark.\nPassengers with special needs should request assistance from the ship operators customer service staff on how to reach the carpark.\nDrivers picking up passengers with special needs should seek information at the Gatehouse.\n\nShort-term car parking \nLimited public parking is available in Waterfront Place next to Station Pier. (Charges apply.) \nTaxi \nThere is a taxi rank on the pier on cruise ship visit days. For information about fares\, visit the Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria website.\n \nPublic transport to and from Melbourne CBD \nTo travel between Station Pier and the Melbourne CBD\, catch the Route 109 tram or bus. \nTram Route 109 leaves from Stop 129 Beacon Cove/Light Rail\, a short walk from Station Pier. \nBus Route 109 runs express from Station Pier from 8 am to 5 pm on cruise ship days when there is no Turnaround cruise visit. Please check the cruise schedule. \nYou need a myki ticket to travel on public transport which you can buy at the myki customer service desk in the International Cruise Ship Terminal. \nFor more information\, either: \n\nvisit the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) website\ndownload PTV’s Cruise Ship Factsheet (PDF).\n\nBus \nCheck with your travel agent to see if they are operating transfers to / from Melbourne Airport or to / from regional centres such as Geelong\, Ballarat and Bendigo. \nSkybus operates between Melbourne Airport and the bus terminal at Southern Cross train station in Spencer Street\, Melbourne.
