I don’t know anyone to share a cabin with, can I still come?

Yes, for sure, we will match you up with a same sex member.

Are there any other expenses?

We do highly recommend “Travel Insurance” although it’s an Australian Cruise they do not recognise Medicare onboard so charge significant amounts for any medical attention required. It’s well worth the small cost involved. Our friendly Travel Agent can assist.

Some drinks are included, others you will have to pay for as you go (alcoholic drinks)

Some restaurants aren’t included in the package, but most are and a very large selection of dining experiences and variety of cuisines

Shopping on board the cruise like gifts, chemist etc.

Where do I board the P&O Pacific Encounter?

Melbourne Cruise Terminal, Station Pier, Waterfront Place Port Melbourne

Distance to/from City: 15km/20mins
Distance to/from Airport: 17km/30mins

Do I need to be Vaccinated against Covid-19 to Cruise?

Vaccination requirements may vary by itinerary and you will be advised in advance of any specific requirements for your destinations if they differ. For cruises to and from Australia, as part of the Eastern Seaboard and Western Australian Cruise Protocols, all guests 12 years and older are required to be ‘fully vaccinated’ with a COVID-19 vaccine that is approved or recognised by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to board any P&O Cruises’ ship.

Guests with a valid recognised medical exemption will need to advise us at the time of booking and provide proof of their medical exemption to be approved to travel, noting that prior infection with COVID-19 is not grounds for a medical exemption as outlined in the Eastern Seaboard and Western Australian Cruise Protocols. No more than 5% of all guests on each cruise departure can travel with a medical exemption.  For more details on medical exemptions and required proof please refer to **Question 8 under our Vaccination FAQS.**

Guests 12 years and older,  will need to provide proof of their vaccination status or valid recognised medical exemption before they embark their cruise. Failure to provide required proof of vaccination or a valid recognised medical exemption may result in denial of boarding.
