Why not turn a negative (another lockdown) in to a positive and join us for a relaxed friendly Speed Friending event. Great way to open up your social circle, you never know who you will meet.?

This event is free and open to anyone over 18, an ADULTS ONLY event. We understand if kids pop into the room and ask you mute the conversation if this happens or if you need to, you can just excuse yourself sign out and log back in when you are ready.

The event starts at 7.30pm, but you will be permitted entry after this to the event and during the event, until it concludes.

If it is your first time do not worry, you will not be alone. The host will run through how to use the features on Zoom, how to talk privately to a member/host.

Your host will place you into a breakout room to meet people in smaller groups. Through out the night you will be moved to different rooms to meet a variety of people. You will see a timer appear when you are getting close to being moved to another room, just so you can say goodbye.

Please RSVP to the event so we have an idea of numbers. Do not share the link with friends, ask them to RSVP. Your name will be on a RSVP list and the host will move you from the waiting room to the event. NO RSVP no entry, this is for security reasons.

Zoom can be used on your phone, iPad, or Desktop. It is free and all you need to do is download the app before the event, then click on the Zoom link to enter the waiting room.

You will receive an e-mail the day before with the Zoom details. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not see it in your Inbox.

Guidelines for the night.

• Please make sure your camera is on. If you attend and do not turn on your camera after being asked you will be removed. Everyone likes to see who they are talking to.
• Self-mute – if you have a lot of noise in the background, please mute yourself so the group can hear the person speaking.
• Be respectful – healthy debate is fine but demeaning comments will not be tolerated.
• Change your ID when you enter to your first name only. No business or surnames.
