Downstairs live music by Bettadaze …. rock band who take literally any genre and turn it into a party…. Steppin’ Out Events is excited to have “Bettadaze” on our party boat cruise.
Upstairs we change the tempo to our Disco floor, two parties on the one night with our favorite DJ Dave.
Party and mingle while watching the sunset over Melbourne from the Yarra River. There will be tunes pumping with a mix of all genres, drinks flowing, delicious canapes, a complimentary drink on arrival, and uninterrupted views of our gorgeous city.
The Carol Dee is a huge double-decker party boat with an open-air upper deck featuring live music and dance floor as well as a huge lower deck, with 270-degree windows ensuring amazing views everywhere you look!
We will be heading downstream on the Yarra River, under the Bolte and Westgate bridges to Williamstown. On the return we will turn it up a notch, taking in the city view via Port Melbourne and St Kilda, when the party is well and truly underway.
Coming solo is the norm! Our friendly male and female hosts will greet you at the door, help you check-in, and give you a run-through of what will happen throughout the night. We also have a ‘meet and greet’ area for everyone coming solo and can provide introductions. No need to worry about attending without a wing person, you will meet one at the event!
Delicious cocktails, spirits, and plenty of party-starting shots are available at the bar!

Ladies’ Choice
Ladies’ Choice was a term used at a dance decades ago, for one song a lady could ask a gentleman for a dance. After every event both ladies and gentleman contact us and ask if their details could be passed onto a member they met at the event. We understand it can be difficult to swap numbers during the night or you simply didn’t find the right opportunity to ask. Times have changed and after talking to our wonderful male members they would love for a lady to ask them first and the ladies also thought this was a wonderful idea. Some events we have introduced “Ladies’ Choice” a card the ladies can use to write an individual message, asking someone they have met on the night if they would like to catch-up after the event. The lady will supply her phone number and give it to a gentleman on the night. The gentleman does not need to answer straight away as they maybe surprised by this offer. Just think the worst that can happen is you have made a new friend the best ……. well sky is the limit.!! This is optional, the ladies can attend the event and not use this service. Yes gentleman you can of course still initiate and give your details to any ladies at our events.

Platters will be available downstairs on arrival, then hot and cold canapes. We have Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free and other assorted canapes available. Clearly labelled to suit everyone’s dietary needs. NO MEALS ARE AVAILABLE.
Bar accepts both cash and Eftpos.

The boat can be fully enclosed and will be warm onboard.
This is a singles event, suitable for Over 40’s, 50’s and 60+. Yes you can bring a non-single wingman along ….. we understand.
Smoking upstairs, outside front deck.
NO BYO alcohol, alcohol will be confiscated on arrival and you may be refused entry.

Pick up / drop off location: Cow in a tree sculpture – 131 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands (Dock 14) Boat CAROL DEE, will be at meeting point at 7.30pm
Located right out the front of marvel stadium you can find parking either onsite at marvel or off-street parking, after 6 pm it becomes free around docklands.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Trams that run along the esplanade, the numbers 11 and 48 head down Collins street. You will be able to jump off at the corner of Collins and Harbour Esplanade and it’s a short 200m walk from there.
Southern Cross is the closest train station, take the Collins Street exit for a 12 mins walk to the dock.
Flinders Street Station Trams 70 and 75 200m walk to dock.
Accessibility
Ramp from meeting point down to the boat (no steps). Boat is a double story, back outside deck on the bottom level, small step inside ground floor. Ground floor bar, toilets, canapes and seating around the outside of the boat.
Top level 12 steps with a hand rail, dance floor and music, small front outside deck, seating around outside but top floor mostly standing and dancing.
If you have special needs please call our office to discuss your requirements. We cater for all requirements and honor the governments “companion card” (please inform us prior to the event if you wish to use your “companion card”)
Please Note No refunds or amendments (transfers) once you have booked the experience / late arrivals and no-shows will forfeit their experience and will not be entitled to a refund. In the event of inclement weather, the cruise will still go ahead. We serve alcohol in accordance with RSA licensing laws. Steppin’ Out Events is a covid-safe venue and operates in compliance with the applicable Government regulations.
